Development tools

v1.4 based tools

Tools provided by the OpenMI Association Technical Committee (OATC)

  • For v1.4 the OATC has provided both a Software Development Kit (SDK) and a Graphical User Interface (GUI), the latter also known as the OpenMI Configuration Editor.  These are based on .Net and are available under Open Source License via Sourceforge.
More information on how to use and obtain these tools can be found on the OATC wiki pages.

Third party tools

  • A Java based SDK was developed by Alterra (NL) and released under open source licence. Contributions to the maintenance and improvement of this SDK are very welcome.
Visit the OATC wiki pages for more information.

v2.0 based tools

Tools provided by the OpenMI Association Technical Committee (OATC)

  • As there will be a third party .Net based GUI and SDK under suitable Open Source License (see below), the OATC itself will not provide its own tools.
  • Information on planned development of Java based tools can be found on the OATC wiki pages.

Third party tools

  • HR Wallingford (UK) as coordinator of the FluidEarth project, has agreed to develop an Open Source SDK and a new open source version of its GUI (Pipistrelle 2.0) for OpenMI v2.0 compliant components.  An installer for a first beta version as well as more recent working code are available for download from SourceForge (tabs 'Files' and 'Code' respectively).
